Covers33 becomes official sponsors of 45 Radio
21st February 2020
Covers33, a Yorkshire based record protection company, has joined forces with another Yorkshire firm favourite, 45 Radio station. The sponsorship will launch on the 24th February 2020 and will include interviews, events and regular top music picks from the Covers33 team on their very own vinyl classic show.
The deal is based on a shared passion for music. Covers33 are a bunch of northern music fans who care about quality music and how it’s protected. 45 Radio is made up of radio presenter royalty, with the likes of ex Radio 2, Heart, Magic and Smooth FM.
Covers33 has been trading since the early 80s and went from selling vinyl in some of the biggest records fairs in the country to manufacturing products that protect them. Fast forward to 2020 and the company has become a one-stop shop for music protection, including covers, storage and cleaning products for 7, 10 and 12 inch records.
45 Radio was born from a genuine drive to produce music for listeners in the over 45s market. The radio station has researched the best music that listeners enjoy and streams out upbeat sounds from the 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s. The radio station can currently reach 3.5 million listeners in major northern cities and continues to grow.
The station also has a sister events company, Gold Soul events, which hosts a variety of popular music events across the north, including the world northern soul dance championship, which Covers33 was delighted to sponsor. The event is due to take place on the 7th of November in Blackpool Tower.
During the launch, James Cooper from Covers33 will be interviewed by 45 Radio and will discuss what music he listens to, why he is a diehard Smiths fan and what inspired Covers33 to pick 45 Radio as a sponsor. Covers33 will also be picking classic records every week on Sunday, 10 pm until midnight.
